Transformer stations
from study to grid connection
The place where your storage, power plant or site meets the distribution grid. We design the whole station – from the choice of type and location through calculations and the grid operator's requirements to the documentation it is built from.
Larger capacities need a transformer station
From hundreds of kW upwards the grid operator usually requires a medium-voltage connection – and therefore your own station.
The whole station in one set of documentation
From the first idea to commissioning
The longest part is waiting for the grid operator and the authorities – that is why we file the application as early as possible.
What people ask us
How long does a transformer station project take?
The study and connection application take weeks; permit and construction documentation usually 4–8 weeks each, depending on complexity. The longest part is waiting for the grid operator's statement and for the authorities.
How much does a transformer station design cost?
We fix the design fee after the site check according to the station type, rating and length of the MV feeder. Construction costs depend mainly on the station type, the transformer and the distance to the connection point – you get an estimate already in the study.
Can the station be part of a storage or PV plant design?
Yes, and it is the usual case. We handle the station, the storage or PV plant and the grid connection in one set of documentation, so everything fits together and the investor has a single partner.
Do you also design for the grid operator?
Yes – service connections and LV cable lines, over 200 projects. Transformer stations we design for investors: for storage, PV plants and sites, always to the grid operator's conditions.
